I've been looking for a nice 1889-S dime for awhile - and this is the best I could come up with - you never see these in mint state.

Don't get me wrong, I like the coin, but would rather have a MS 63-65 for my 1889 Mint Set

I don't have an image of my MS 64 Philadelphia - but

here's my Proof 64 NGC - which now resides in a PCGS PR 63 CAM holder :

Found this coin buried in a dealers inventory; he had it for over a year and noone noticed it. It should have graded at least a point or two higher, IMHO.

I inquired about any 1889 MS dimes...and almost fell over when he went searching. Although he has a web site, he never imaged the coin until I inquired about it. Although this is a duplicate 1889-P dime for me, its a definite upgrade  and I'm thrilled to own it:

I've got a few, but I'm looking to sell them at the next flea market because I went for quatity instead of quality. Most of them were in AG or G at the very best.
