My stock portfolio gained over $6,000.00 in the last month. I usually hold stocks for 6 weeks or so unless the charts show weakness for the future. I sell 50% of my gains as soon as they double my investment and sell 100% of the stocks that break through the 10% loss canyon.
The net results are consistent gains overall through out the year.

And how about today. You know you are good with the stock market if your value held on a 400 point drop. Confused

Well,
If anyone made any money today, They had to have been into Bear type funds like USPIX. It really went up today!
For me, for some reason I sold a large portion of my holdings just because I felt they were way over priced. As a result I only lost $2100.00 today and am still ahead of my costs from the beginning opf the year. It'll come back as surely as it has had a corrected decrease today-------and probably tomorrow.

Nice move. I lost about 3% of my holdings so no big deal. Now if it starts to come back tomorrow I would be very happy.
