This coin was given to me from a diver in Mexico as a gift.  I have been trying to identify what I could on the coin and have come up with a Pillar and Waves cob coin perhaps dated between 1652 and 1773.  I believe in the tic tac toe arrangement I can see the P in the lower right, some of the middle line ?LV ??? TRA, and possibly an E in the upper right and lower left.  The waves appear to come up under the squares so I thought the P was correct.   It was a present and am not as interested in the value as I am verification.  It weighs only 18.8 grams which would be way to light unless the thinness of the coin around the edges could have some loss of silver. What does anyone out there think? Thank you... MIKE
