PCGS has its quarterly special and you can have 1 gold buffalo graded for free. Thats not a bad way to store it also. You still have to pay shipping though.

It changes daily with the gold price. If you pay by check apmex.com has decent prices.

currently $652.85 plus shipping. Graded by PCGS $660.90. Probably worth the extra $8 dollars for the encapsulation.

Again, how are these coins chemically treated? I think you are wrong. The Mint does not specify any treatment and I have a few dozen proof and UNC Buffies (several in PR70DCAM and MS70) and I have seen no treatment. Maybe you just added it or buy from bad dealers I don't know but my coins have no treatment. Shocked

i reckon today's pricing is still ok if you look at where inflation is going to be in a couple of years...

Every major primary bull market takes place in three sentiment phases. Since currencies are created from debt (government bonds) and supported by the ability to create more debt (full faith and credit). I thought it would be a good idea to show you how to identify trends on a sentiment basis. To this end I will be comparing the US dollar to spot gold.

Gold is in a bull market because its core fundamentals are so outstanding.  The gold price, like every other commodity or stock, is ultimately driven by supply and demand.

The primary fundamental strategic reason to invest in gold at this particular moment in history is to ride the already in progress re-pricing of the Ancient Metal of Kings to a higher price level where supply and demand meet and offset one another and eliminate the gold shortage.

In Economics 101, an important course prerequisite for Gold Investing 101, centuries of evidence inarguably prove that a shortage inevitably leads to higher prices.  In order to make up the enormous structural gold deficit each year, the gold price will have to rise far higher.  Higher gold prices will ultimately entice gold mines to bring more gold production online, increasing mined gold supplies years from now.  The higher gold prices will also eventually retard gold demand.  Ultimately years in the future a new equilibrium gold price will be reached where global mined gold supply equals global gold demand at a new higher gold price.

The American Gold Buffalo was introduced by the United States Mint in 2006 as a new 24 karat gold bullion coin. Production was authorized under Public Law 109-145, dated December 22, 2005. The new program was created in addition to the existing American Eagle Bullion Coin Program, which included 22 karat American Gold Eagle bullion coins.
