I am a cashier and I started buying dollar coins, half dollars and 2 dollar bills as a way to save money.  Along the way I have learned a few things like the silver value of half dollars minted in the early sixties.  This is my version of a savings account but I have become more and more interested in the coins I have.  For example I have heard that John Adams dollars can be worth more than face value but without a photo I don't quite understand what to look for.  I have twenty such coins.  I also found a dozen silver half dollars in my collection and still find them when customers use them to pay for sodas.  Recently a man paid for 2 sodas with 150 wheat pennies.  Can anyone point me in the right direction to find their worth?  I did find a site that suggests that all wheat pennies are worth at least a nickel a piece but I would like to find out more about the ones I have.  And just last night a guy bought gas with 5 dollars worth of quarters.  When I put them with the rest of the quarters I noticed they shined incredibly brighter than the rest so I pulled them out.  Although obviously circulated they are in pristine condition with some of them almost looking like they have a golden tint to them.  I haven't looked through each one individually because I want to get some gloves before handling them in case they have additional value.  But the ones I did look at seemed to all have different dates from 1966 to 1986. I found a page that said a mint condition 1966 quarter could be worth $100.00 but how can I find out the value of the coin that has been circulated? Doesn't that automatically mean they are not mint condition?  Any responses would be great full.  Thank you.
