I'm familiar with XLT and i have used it extensively i love this machine...but i don't know nothing about the new DFX. So i was woundering if someone who have both can give us his thoughts about the new DFX.

And do you recommand the DFX?..if someone has a XLT..would you recommand him to buy the DFX ?

Because i'm thinking of buying a DFX.:)

Thanks

I have the DFX and absolutely love it. I have used the XLT model a few times, but never owned one. It is okay, but would definately go with the DFX.

I HAVE BEEN METAL DETECTING ON AND OF FOR 15 YEARS NOW ' I HAVE HAD GOOD FINDS CRAP FINDS AND NO FINDS AT TIMES, BUT I HAVE LEARNED  OVER TIME ITS NOT SO MUCH WHAT DETECTOR YOU ARE USING OR NOT ITS HOW YOU USE THEM. BECAUSE OF MODERN TECHNOLOGY ALL DETECTORS WILL MAKE FINDS ITS THE SPEED DETECTORISTS MOVE THERE COILS FROM SIDE TO SIDE , I HAVE SEEN THIS TIME AND TIME AGAIN WITH FRIENDS AND AT RALLIES, SO IT DONT MATTER IF ITS A DFX OR A XLT WITCH I USE JUST SLOW DOWN AND YOU WILL MAKE MORE FINDS. ALSO REMEMBER IF ITS NOT THERE YOU CANT FIND IT.

I currently have a Whites MXT.  haven't used it much yet, maybe this year.
