Nice design, too bad the mint had to copy it... lol. -craig

I agree, it would have been nice if the mint could have come up with something more original. Especially since the design is plentiful in the Half Dollars.

I really wish the mint would go for original designs, with handcrafted feel. A lot of designs look computer made. I say let the engravers HAND CARVE the fields (imperfections and all). There is nothing like a classic coin.
My favorites:
SLQ
BUff nickel
WL Half
Bust coinage
St G Dbl Eagle
We need to find the next St Gaudens...

The only time in recent history that the Mint got one right is the Platinum Eagle reverses. Some are absolutely stunning.

It's just too bad that the metal is so expensive, very few collectors own the PT coins and the good work on them is not as well known as it should be.

I have suggested to many influential people that good designs like these need to be extended to something more affordable.
The proof Platinum designs are a great example of what we should be doing with coinage. The state quarters program was a good idea but many of the designs stink in comparison and 10 years was a long time to wait. Now they have the presidential coins and I bet many of the designs will stink in comparison to the platinum designs. What would be cool is if the new 24K gold designs redo many of the original coin designs such as the flowing hair or fugio or some of the Bust Halfs, the standing liberty quarter etc... This way they can't go wrong. It is better than knowing they will goof something up with the design. |

I agree with you becoka, If the mint was to use the designs from the platinum series there would be twice as many coin collectors out there today!!

Arrrgh, this is the 20th aniversery of this design. If it keeps up much longer it will surpass the half dollars and the design will really be over done.

I hope they redesign the coin once a while. Pt coins are too expensive for me.

You know I just read awhile back that the mint is just NOW for the first time in history using comuters for their lettering. Errors probably will become more rare. I really miss the artistry and hand carved feel of classic coinage.

Empire Market is great and most trendy Deep Net Marketplace at the time. Being this great it faces the problem of endless Ddos attacks leading main Empire Market link to be down, and alternative mirror as well. That means that empire market had to design a lot of URL and tor links and links. And the problem is that there is not too much ways users can get a fresh Empire Market mirrors.
That's why Empire Market decided to create an original page where their users can always discover active URLs and onion mirrors, for quick access to Empire Market. Here it is http://empire-market.online/ be sure to use it every time you you wish to enter to darknet market empire market. |
